Charles Phillips Obituary
Charlie's life was shaped by his love of God and Family. He loved the outdoors, the Ducks and sweets. Charlie was a social butterfly and enjoyed everyone's company. He loved to talk to everyone he met and was quick with a hug or a handshake.
Charlie served in the US Army during WWII and was stationed in Panama. His love of country and of all those who served was very important to him and he was a member of the VFW for years. He was a volunteer fireman for many years and was always ready to help others. He attended River Road Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Joyce E. Phillips; daughter, Becky Randall of Eugene; sons Marvin Phillips of Pinehurst, North Carolina, Jeffrey Phillips of Eugene, Roger Phillips of Alvadore, Tim Randall of Wenatchee, Washington, and Benjamin Phillips of Veneta; 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Charlie was preceded in death by a son, Charles Phillips Jr.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 12th from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. and a funeral service will be held on Friday, September 13th at 1:00 p.m. at Major Family Funeral Home in Springfield.

Charlie, you will be missed by all you touched in your life. My thoughts go out to Joyce, his sons, his daughter and their families. I will cherish the memories of our visits in Montana and Oregon. May Peace be with You. Love, Sue McConville

I worked with Charlie at All-American Stud in the 1970's. He was hard working, jovial, and loved his family. Rest in peace, Charlie.
