Doris Ann Kindrick passed away Tuesday, February 9th at the age of 83.

She was born Doris Ann Rigor on April 25, 1932 in Albany, OR to Cecil and Ivy Rigor. She attended school in Monroe, Oregon, graduating in 1950 from Monroe High School.

She married Charles "Chuck" Kindrick on October 7th, 1951 in Monroe, Oregon. They were married for 56 years and raised two children. She had lived in Springfield for 63 years.

Following their marriage, they moved to San Francisco, where Chuck served at the Presidio and Doris worked at the telephone company.

In 1953, they moved to Springfield. Chuck and Doris were dedicated members of the Springfield Elks Lodge and she was very active in the Emblem Club.

Since the late 1960's, summer vacations were spent at Triangle Lake boating, water skiing and swimming with family and friends. In 1976, Chuck and Doris bought water front property there and after retiring, spent the majority of their summers there.

Over the years, they traveled throughout the United States, including 3 trips to Hawaii. They took several cruises to Mexico, Alaska and the Caribbean.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Curtis and Linda Kindrick of Springfield; her daughter, Gail Packer of Grand Marais, Minnesota; three granddaughters, Christina Ridlbauer of Grand Marias, Minnesota, and Vanessa Kindrick and Breanna Kindrick of Springfield. She has five great grandchildren, Alex, Juliana, Christian, Tiberius and Magdalena. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces.

At Doris' request there will be no memorial service.
