Douglas Lueck

Douglas Daniel Lueck died surrounded by his family on June 15 at his home in Bend. He was 45; the cause was colorectal cancer caused by ulcerative colitis. He had fought the disease for the past five years.

Doug was born Dec. 31, 1971, in Springfield, the last baby born that year in Lane County, to Allen and Janet (Dunbar) Lueck. He grew up in Springfield and graduated from Thurston High School in 1990.

Doug worked as General Foreman Electrician, most recently for Rosendin Electric in Bend, where he worked on a variety of major projects. He was a member of IBEW Local 280. He enjoyed fishing, traveling and was a true Duck Football fan. He loved to cruise and has been on 7 cruises over the years. The most important thing to him was his family. He loved to spend time with them on vacation, hiking, camping and just being a great dad and husband. Doug was a selfless man who put their needs above his own.

Doug is survived by his parents, of Springfield; his wife of 14 years, Lisa, of Bend; two sons, Daniel and Walker; two daughters, Raeliah and MaKenna; and his brother, Phil, of Eugene.

A celebration of life has already been held in Bend.
