I always knew my grandmother to be a loving and kind women. She was always there for everyone and worked very hard for her family. I will never forget the strawberry patches, gardening, cookies, good homemade cooking, honesty, thoughtfulness, vacations and loving hugs & kisses. She has done so much for me, more then I will ever know. Always being honest and telling the truth to any question I had. Telling me I was more like a daughter to them then a grandchild. I wish she wasn't so ill after retiring and was able to travel like she always wanted. The last time I visited her, she was preparing me for the day she was going to pass. She told me her last story. She asked, "Michelle, do you know why I call you Angel?" I responded with a no. She replied, " When we bought your dog I asked you what you were going to name it, you said you wanted to name it Angel. I asked you why Angel. You told me you were my Angel and the dog was your Angel." Now Grandma is our Angel! She will forever be missed.

How would one put into words a feeling of knowing a person they've loved for a lifetime. Our family has no author, no college grad. few words of wit, but I can tell you we have love & with that we have come a long way. Eunice expressed her love for people in her own special way, she didn't always wear it on her sleeve for all to see,but if you listened & watched & understood her ways, you could see it. Her views, her voice tone & her actions were direct, you knew where she was coming from & thats the reason why Wanda & I loved her so much in return. She is missed now, & will always be missed. LOVE-YA, your Oklahoma family Wanda & Gerald

Virgil-you and Eunice have been a very special part of my life! When I started working on the hill at Little T's, you both would come in and make my day, you were like a second set of parents to me. Eunice would always come in and give me a hug and slip a tip in my pocket when I started cooking. Then when I came back to Oakridge, you both started coming into the Village Cafe where I was waitressing and then got promoted to cook. It was like a fresh ray of sunshine when I saw the two of you pull into the parking lot. She always loved it when I painted the windows for the holidays too!!! She will be greatly missed and my love and thoughts are with you, Virgil. I was going to call you, but it just seems like its too soon and I've shed enough tears since I saw it in the paper. I also met you on the highway on your way to Eugene alone and it scared me then. I knew something was wrong. Doris from the Village also said to send you her love and best wishes.Thank you Virgil and to the memories of Eunice I will carry with me for the rest of my life. The last time I went tothe hospital, I fought because of you both. I remembered she always told me to fight and I did just for her. She will be in my prayers from now until my end.
