Jim Christian of Springfield, passed away March 17th, he was 78. Jim was born in 1939 to Forrest and Edna Christian in Putnam County, Missouri. Jim had 2 older siblings, Lucille and Bob.
Jim is survived by his wife, Terry; his children: Jim Jr (Diane), Kent (Georgia), Rhonda (Dan), Ray, Tom and Tracy. Terry's children: Lindsey (Colin), Ian (Shelly), Terry's parents and siblings, 17 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and his cat Sweetie.
His interests included classic cars, motorcycles, clocks, old movies, playing guitar, music, camping and woodworking.
Jim was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1973. He loved spending time talking to others about the Good News of God's Kingdom, Dan 2:44.
Jim had a warm smile, quick wit and great sense of humor and will be dearly missed until his resurrection on earth in God's new world as promised, Acts 24:15.
He was predeceased by his parents, sister Lucille, brother Bob, wives Tammy and Marianne, a newborn daughter, and granddaughter Erica.
The family would like to thank Gateway Living memory care staff for their dedication and care of Jim, also hospice nurse Janice for going the extra mile in Jim's behalf.
A memorial service will be held Sat. April 21st 2:30pm at 1748 Polk St. Eugene, Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
