Jean C. Maloney, 90, of Hillsboro, Oregon passed away December 7, 2016. She was born May 8, 1926 in Springfield, Oregon. She attended the University of Oregon and married Edward G. Maloney in 1946.
Jean loved to travel especially to the Oregon Coast. She enjoyed cheering for the Trailblazers and the Oregon Ducks. She loved to garden, dance, knit, bird watch, fish and hike. Her immediate and extended family were the focus of her life.
A rosary was held in Milwaukie, Oregon on December 11th. A funeral mass was conducted at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Eugene, Oregon on December 13th with graveside ceremony at Mt. Calvary.
She is preceded in death by her parents Benetta and Robert Coombs, her husband Edward G. Maloney, her infant son Robert Matthew, her sister Shirley McCornack, her brother-in-law Dan, her sister-in-law Marian Koeber, two nephews Jim and Rick Koeber and her dear friend John Shefler.
She is survived by her three children Julie Rossetto (Tom), Ted Maloney, Pat Mitsuda (Gene), five grandchildren Kevin, Laura, Jean, Kathleen and Shannon, her nieces Rose Soriano, Marilyn Starker (Bond), Kathy Cuddy (Jack), Marjorie Koeber, Elizabeth Margolis (Sheldon) and nephews Mike McCornack (Carleen) and Tim McCornack (Caroline).
Donations in Jean's memory can be made to the Nature Conservancy, The Salvation Army, and the Oregon Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association
