Kenneth C. Van Devender

Kenneth C. Van Devender, 95, of Junction City, OR, passed away peacefully with family at his side. He recently said he was "ready to go" to heaven. He was born Nov. 27, 1919 in Cable, WI to George and Eva Van Devender, one of 6 boys and one girl. In 1941 he married Clara Elizabeth (Betty) Wileman in Cable and they had a daughter and son while there. In 1947 they moved to Oregon to work in the woods, living in Noti, then Junction City. In 1958 Kenneth built their family home were he resided until January. He was preceeded in death by his beloved wife of 66 years, in 2007, also his brothers and sister. He is survived by his children and their spouses, Karen & Bart Copeland of Oakland, OR; Ken (Jim) & Cherrill Van Devender of Keizer, OR and Kandy & Steve Christiansen of Junction City. Also by 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

A memorial will be held Wed., Nov. 4th at Noon at Faith Lutheran Church, 926 W. 6th Ave., Junction City, OR
