Kyrsta Jones
01/01/1983 - 05/10/2021
Krysta Aileen Jones, born 1/1/83 in Laytonville, California, passed away unexpectedly on 5/10/21 in Cheshire, Oregon. Between the two dates, Krysta led an amazingly varied and full life, that brought an immense amount of love and goodwill to all she touched.
Survived by her beloved husband, Justin Jones, and five step-children, Tyler Marie, Morgan, Brennan, Dylan, and Breanna, she will be forever missed.
As a wife, partner, and mother, Krysta was a force to be reckoned with. Krysta and Justin successfully developed two businesses and thrived on their slice of Cheshire paradise. As a mother, Krysta proved to be a pillar of strength as well as a nurturing teacher and friend.
So how did Krysta arrive in Oregon? Well, the path was circuitous. From the wilds of Northern California she arrived in Kauai to become a BMXer extraordinaire. This led to the beginnings of an illustrious swimming career in Santa Barbara, Calif., only to be continued in Rockport, Maine. Competitive swimming held her until the discovery of snowboarding, then it was onto competition boarding in Telluride, Co..
Krysta's accomplishments as an athlete were not her only bright spots. As she continued the journey throughout the country, her eagerness of exploring the environment around her coupled with a passionate curiosity of her fellow humans, was recorded in eloquent poetry. Krysta's passion for life brought a lasting impact on all she touched.
Then there was the culinary prowess. Going off to the California Culinary Academy as the youngest ever to attend, she naturally proved to be a powerfully capable chef. This was timelessly executed at a small Italian bistro near San Diego, where our tastebuds were forever spoiled.
This short record of Krysta's accomplishments hardly begins to show her fearless approach to life. When Krysta moved to Oregon to be near her parents, her adventurous spirit helped her build a new Oregon life with her husband Justin.
The loss of Krysta felt by mother Lori B, step-father Robert Havas, the Hathhorn family of her birth, father Michael Hathhorn, and the Jones family of her marriage and of course Justin, will be forever present. We will be fulfilled knowing that the vast amount of people she touched, all have a piece of Krysta in their hearts. We will forever miss you Krysta.
Celebration of Life will be held Noon, May, 22, 2021, at the home of Justin and Krysta.
