L. M. Reese

June 23, 2018

LM (Larry Michael) Reese passed away at RiverBend Hospital on June 23rd at age 70. He was born on August 12, 1947 in Eugene, OR to Charles and Alice Reese. LM was a man of faith. He was a former ordained Minister of the Pentecostal Evangelical Church and began his own ministry in in Springfield in 1977. LM was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and most recently a member of The First United Methodist Church. LM was passionate about serving others. He was an active member of the Eugene Downtown Lions. He served on numerous community advisory boards. LM lived at Olive Plaza in Eugene for the past 20 years where he volunteered many hours at the Senior Meal site. LM, a loyal Duck fan, spent his leisure time doing puzzles, collecting model cars, and playing pinochle. He was a role model to many, never letting his physical limitations get in the way of helping others. He was a kind and loving friend and will be dearly missed by his friends, family and his cat, Charlie. LM is survived by his sisters, Diane (Gary) Pratt of Eugene and Tammy (Sonny) Hamar of Creswell, his son, James Michael, a foster son, David Coats, of Eugene and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will take place at First United Methodist Church of Eugene, 1376 Olive Street, Eugene on August 12th at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Eugene Downtown Lions, P O Box 5623, Eugene, OR 97405.
