Meredith Lee Obituary

Meredith Lee (Majik)

1947 - 2016

Meredith Lee (Majik) was born in a plane on April 26, 1947 over the city of Detroit, MI as her Mother, Beatrice Hancock Adams, was flying home from Bremerton, WA as her Father, Robert Adams was going out to the sea in the Navy. When he returned two more were added to the family, sister Cathleen and brother Robert.

Meredith was a tomboy and a singer. She became a Xray technician and learned a lot of medical information. She married Armin Armstrong and they moved to Oregon.

In Oregon, she learned her true Path in life, a singer, a political activist especially for the environment ... and a lover of women. She helped start the co-op Gertude's Restaurant. She then went to Molokai, HI and was given the name, by the native women, of Rainbow Majik Mountain. It was shortened to Majik and that became the name most people knew her by.

She met her partner, Norma Joyce, at a Festival of Women's Spirituality in 1987 and became the Songweaver for Women In Conscious Creative Action (WICCA). They traveled for WICCA and became handfasted in August 1989. She took over the Glass Station, when Alice, the founder passed away, and the three parts of Majik's life came together.

She leaves behind her sister, Cath and husband David, brother Bob, Partner Norma, heart-daughter Jane-ellen, step-son Dolph, his wife Sharon, Grand-daughter Alex, her husband Mark, sister-in-law Nancy and so many friends and people that loved her. We thank them all for sending her energy.

A Memorial Service will be held at Lamb Cottage in Skinner Butte Park, Eugene, OR 97401 on Saturday, March 26th at 10:00am. Please bring your memories to share with all.

Donations in remembrance can be made to Sponsors, Inc.-Women Services, 338 Highway 99 North, Eugene, OR 97402.
