Mildred Clifford

LOUDON, TN - Mildred (Millie) Stumpf Clifford, aged 95, died peacefully at The Neighborhood at Tellico Village, Loudon, on the afternoon of July 22, 2016.

Mildred was born in Baltimore, MD, the daughter of William H. Stumpf and Freida Fischer Stumpf. In her forties, Mildred moved to Orlando, FL, where she lived until retiring from her position with the Orange County School System. Following retirement, she resided in Eugene, OR, with her son, Harold, until his death in 2011. The remainder of her life was spent with her daughter, Frieda, in Greenback, TN, and at The Neighborhood at Tellico Village.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harold C. Clifford, son, Harold C. Clifford, Jr. and sisters, Margaret Irene Alexander and Irma Martha Harron. She is survived by: brother Carl W. Stumpf (Patricia), daughter Frieda C. Coleman (Richard), granddaughter Carla E. Coleman (Douglas Saylor), Grandson Colin A. Coleman (Rachel), great-grandchildren, Mary Greer Coleman and William Riley Coleman and special friend Cynthia Beale.

Mildred enjoyed gardening, playing bridge, watching her beloved Oregon Ducks on TV, visiting with family and friends, and listening to bluegrass and gospel music. She was a member of Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, August 1, at The Neighborhood At Tellico Village. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to: The Mildred S.
