Nancy Louene Loucks-Morris

On Friday May 7, 2021 Nancy Loucks-Morris of Eugene, OR passed away in her home at the age of 85. Nancy was born on March 19,1936 in South Charleston, WV to Donald Ray Pauley and Georgia Ellen Carpenter. As a young girl she loved being outdoors and even spent some of her childhood years in Louisiana where she would catch a bus into town and play by the levees. In 1951, Nancy lived in Ohio where she married and became a mother the following year. Over the years she had a total of 5 daughters and 3 sons. Nancy was a devoted mother that was always nurturing and very hands on. She enjoyed playing various games with her children and loved reading from the bible at bedtime. During the early seventies Nancy and her family moved to Florida where she spent the next 30 years. She worked as an accountant, and later on as an administrative assistant in the mental health field which she retired from in 2001. After retirement Nancy spent the next 13 years living in Utah with her beloved partner Gerald. They eventually moved to Eugene, OR where they married in 2015 after 30 long, happy years together. Nancy was very compassionate and loved helping those around her. She was an incredible, strong woman that was fierce and full of sass. She spent her final years relaxing with her husband and spending time with their grandchildren. Nancy was a great-great grandmother at the time of her passing. She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings Patsy, Betty Jo, Lois, and Stephen, husband Gerald E. Morris, daughters Pamela Monroe and Julie Hulsey, sons Mark and Larry Whittington, and grandsons David and Anthony. She is survived by her three daughters Debra Blondshine, Paula King, Diane Loucks, and son Brian Whittington. Graveside services were held at the Roseburg National Cemetery in Roseburg, OR on June 4th. Arrangements entrusted to Alpha Cremation Service.
