Tom Klotter Obituary
A celebration of life will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church on January 28 at 12:15 p.m. for Thomas Klotter who died of natural causes on December 30, 2018. He was 83 years old. Tom was a very positive person who expressed his gratitude and love freely. He is reunited with the love of his life, Madelyn, son Michael and daughters Nancy and Jane who preceded him in death. The couple was married in 1957 and has two surviving sons, Tom Jr., married to Lisa residing in Eugene, and Donald, married to Jana residing in Zurich. He has four grandchildren. He also has three brothers; George (deceased), Jim and John.
Tom was born in Chicago, IL to George and Gertrude Klotter in 1935. He served in the US Army Signal Corps in Korea. He retired after 25 years in the insurance business. He was an active member of the St. Mary's Catholic community as well as the McKenzie Carving Club and the Willamalane Adult Activity Center. He also enjoyed gardening, traveling, and volunteer work at McKenzie Willamette Medical Center. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, grandchildren and in his final years his constant companion and "best buddy," his dog Izzy.
