Alice Fugate Obituary
LEWISBURG — Alice B. Fugate, 92, of Lewisburg, died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2018, at Hospice of Dayton.
Born on April 12, 1926, in Preble County, she was the daughter of the late Frank P. and Fannie (Wysong) McClellan. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Englewood.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Wilgus Fugate in 1977; daughter: Ramona M. Fugate in 1977; son: Herbert Leroy "Lee" Vardaman Jr. in 2004; siblings: Robert E. McClellan in 1938, Catherine Elizabeth McClellan in 1931, Roy Clifford McClellan in 1992, Mildred Plyley in 1996, Margaret Wise in 1982, Effie Mae Zumbrun in 2006, James V. McClellan in 2007, Mary Louise Baker in 2011, Beryl George McClellan in 1988 and Earl Edward McClellan in 2008.
She is survived by sons: Larry (Cheryl) Fugate and Gary Fugate; brother: John McClellan; grandchildren: Joseph & David Fugate, Kevin & Harley Vardaman; five great-grandchildren: Triston, Harley Jr., Sam, Marek and Jemimah; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service Tuesday, Aug. 21, at Barnes Funeral Home, 411 North Commerce Street, Lewisburg, OH with Rev. Lowell T. Spencer officiating. Interment in Roselawn Cemetery, Lewisburg.
