James Dalgety Obituary

HAMILTON — James "Jim" S. Dalgety, 68, of Hamilton, passed away on Monday, Oct. 6, 2025.

He was born on Jan. 24, 1957, in Minneapolis, Minnesota to the late William and Gloria (Clay) Dalgety. Jim was a 1975 graduate of Williamsville North High School in Williamsville, New York. He went on to study at the University of Minnesota Duluth on a hockey scholarship. He was an excellent athlete, having played high school golf and baseball as well as hockey. Most of all, Jim loved his family fiercely and will be missed immensely by all of them.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Robert Dalgety and special cousin Laurie Petty.

He is survived by his sister Carol (Steve) Unger of Eaton; niece Sarah (Rick) Pickerell of Springboro; nephew Brad (Lindsey) Unger of Eaton; great-nieces and -nephews Brady and Elli Pickerell and Charlie and Parker Unger, and special cousins Pam (Jeff) Grant and Becky (Kevin) Flynn of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Tracy (Jeff) Wilson of Redmond, Virginia.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Gard Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Eaton is assisting with arrangements.
