WEST ALEXANDRIA — Jeffrey T. Gates, age 79, of West Alexandria, passed away on Aug. 28, 2025.

He had a generous spirit and was always giving to others. He enjoyed spending time with his family, even if just sitting on the couch watching a movie, or a football game. He will be deeply missed by those who loved him.

Jeffrey is survived by his children, Christopher (Alicia) Gates and Sonja (Gates) Bitsko; step-children Jacinda (Bill) Wheeler, Alicia (Joe) Scaglione, and Dana (Karen) Ward; grandchildren, Reagan, Carson, Collin, Rachel, Corinne, C.J, Jack, Jacob, Hannah, and Hailey.

Jeff was a great guy. He was always upbeat and excited about life. He was a role model to me. The world will spin a little slower now that he is gone.
