EATON — Mary E. (Hawley-Gardner) Little, 84, of Eaton, died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2014 in Eaton.
She was born in Dayton, on April 9, 1930 to Clifford and Ethel (Askins) Hawley. She was a graduate of West Alexandria High School and also Good Samaritan School of Nursing. She was a member of Elk Creek Baptist Church, Middletown.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert W. Gardner and second husband, Elijah Little.
Mary is survived by four children, two sons, Robert (Pam) Gardner, W. Alexandria, Michael (Sharon) Gardner, Wallingford, Kentucky, Marjorie (Ron) Harman, Odessa, Texas; Phyllis (Darrell) Brubaker, Eaton;14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; four brothers, Marvin Hawley, Detroit, Michigan; David Hawley, Eaton; Thomas Hawley, Lewisburg; Kenneth Hawley, Eaton; four sisters, Sherly Carroll, Eaton; Lova Overholts, Phoenix, Arizona; Kathryn Duncan, Cloverdale, Indiana; Claudia Hurst, West Alexandria. Also deceased were her parents, a stepson Ronald L. Gardner; four brothers, Robert E. Hawley, Clifford Hawley Jr., James Hawley, Warren Hawley, and sister, Doris Mato.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 21, at St. John Church with Rev. Mark Moore officiating. Donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton. Arrangements are made by Lindloff-Zimmerman Funeral Home, West Alexandria. For condolences: www.lindloffzimmerman.com.
