MARIE HIZER

MARIE CAMPBELL HIZER Marie Campbell Hizer passed away peacefully February 24, 2025, at Ridgewood Health Campus. She was 44 days shy of her one hundred second birthday. She is survived by her daughter Jo Ann (Wilbur) Disbro and her son Thomas R (Meg) Campbell, her grandchildren, David Ray Disbro, Dawn (Tim) Burke, Neal (Melanie) Campbell, Jessica (Eric) Berman, and Scott Campbell, her great-grandchildren Luke and Alex Disbro, Wil, Wade and Kellyn Burke, Ellie and Avery Campbell and Skylar and Ryder Berman, her stepchildren Janet (Carl) Petty and David (Judy) Hizer, her sister Iris Nelson, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Robert E. C. and Mabel Hunger, her sisters Iola Zeh, Erma Jones, a stillborn baby girl and her brothers Floyd, Norman, and Wesley Hunger, her first husband and father of her children Thomas D. Campbell and her second husband Del Hizer. Many knew Marie from her years at Frisch's Big Boy in Lawrenceburg. She loved gardening inside and outside her home, baking bread, crafting, and playing bridge with her friends. At their convenience, the family will hold a private graveside service officiated by Jim Wingate. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
