Alfred "Hitch" A Ciano
Alfred "Hitch" A. Ciano, age 64, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, August 29, 2025, at Saint Mary's Hospital.
Born on November 11, 1960, Alfred was the son of the late Rolando and Agnes (Lodarski) Ciano. He was a graduate of Crosby High School. Able to fix anything, Alfred worked for several appliance companies, including A-P Appliance. In a garage that he built, he could always be found working on classic cars like his Firebird and he enjoyed a good demolition derby. Kind and generous, Alfred would help anyone with anything, and he loved spending time with his family.
Alfred is survived by his brother Alan Ciano of Rochester, NH; and his sisters Barbara Ciano-Lamontagne of Waterbury, Diane Ciano-Rutkauskas and her husband Gary of Plymouth, and Denise Ciano of Wolcott. He also leaves his nephews, Michael (Sara) Lamontagne of Harwinton, Leonardo Ciano and his wife Lina of New Hampshire, Enrico Ciano of New Hampshire, and Rodolfo Ciano of Massachusetts, and his former brother-in-law Victor Lamontagne, as well as many friends and cousins, He was predeceased by his sister Karen Ann Ciano-Hartwell.
Family and friends are invited to join the celebration of Alfred's life at Maiorano Funeral Home, 95 Willow St., Waterbury, on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. with a memorial service from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Mt.
