Daniel Goff Obituary

Daniel Bradford Goff
March 20, 1970 - January 13, 2026
Daniel (Danny) Bradford Goff passed away on January 13, 2026, in Colorado.
Daniel was born on an Army base at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, to Leslie Goff and Kathleen Goff (Kenneally) on March 20, 1970.
Daniel graduated from Massanutten Military Academy (MMA) in Woodstock, Virginia, in 1989, where he earned the title of "Funniest" for class superlatives. At MMA, Daniel made lifelong friends who remember him as funny, loyal, and well respected.
Daniel enjoyed reading books and listening to music. His love of Stephen King novels and bands like Queen and the Grateful Dead was something he passed down to his daughters, creating interests they shared and cherished together. Daniel was a former athlete, who played football, baseball, and softball, and was an avid sports fan (Steelers and Red Sox).
He is survived by his daughters, Shannon Goff and Colleen Goff. He is also survived by his parents, a sister, nieces and nephews, and cousins.
Daniel will be remembered by his family and friends for his love of sports, his quick humor, and the quiet care he showed to others. His presence will be forever missed.
A celebration of life ceremony in his honor will be announced at a later date.

So sorry to hear the news. I have a few fond memories with Dan - playing with the kids at Christmas, going to Steelers game, seeing the Red Sox play at Yankee stadium. Rest in peace Dan! Praying for him, family and friends.

My friend... I sit here looking back-looking back and remembering the times we spent together, the years when we were inseparable. We shared so much of life side by side: all the laughter, all the dumb arguments, and all those endless episodes of The Simpsons and Seinfeld that we tirelessly laughed at together. I still remember sitting on the couch when you realized all the episodes of the Simpsons you so proudly taped were in Spanish, because someone hit the SAP button..... Way to go Dan.....
We shared the anticipation and the jubilation of those little things that meant everything to us-waiting for the mail to deliver our tickets to the next Grateful Dead shows, planning out the countless Phish concerts and Jerry Garcia Band tours we somehow always made happen. All of it lives forever in my memory, a soundtrack of music and a friendship that felt like it would last forever.
I stood next to you on your wedding day, proud and grateful to be part of that moment. I always thought the laughs would never end. But life, in its quiet and complicated way, eventually carried us down different paths. After that long journey together, we drifted. We lost touch. We lost that closeness that once felt unshakeable. We were each on our own road to find out.
And yet, even with the time, the memories never left me. They still don´t. They remain vivid, alive, and full of the warmth only a friend can leave behind. Your presence shaped a part of my life that I will hold onto until I can't hold on to them anymore. Our time together-every show, every joke, every late-night conversation on how Pittsburgh was "gonna do it this season"-will always be a piece of my heart.
Now, as I look back, I will always remember.... The laughter. The music. The friendship. The journey we shared......
Rest easy, my friend. Thank you for walking with me for as long as you did.....
