Dennis Arthur Nalette Jr., age 92, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2025, surrounded by loved ones in the home he helped his dad build eighty years ago.
Dennis was born in Lebanon, VT to Gladys (Stearns) and Dennis Arthur Nalette on September 3, 1933. He moved to Winsted, CT around 1945 and worked in the elevator business all of his life. He started at General Elevator in Hartford, CT. It was later bought by Montgomery Elevator and then Kone Elevator. Dennis retired in 2003.
He belonged to St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Torrington, CT and the Winsted Elks Lodge.
Dennis was predeceased by his parents, his sister, Janet Dupont, grandsons Ryan and Brad Crawford, and Stephen and David Nalette and daughter-in-law, Joyce Nalette.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Barbara (Ingalls) Nalette and brother, Eugene Nalette of Bera, CA. His children, Denise Nalette (Michael Robinson) of St. Augustine, FL, D. Paul (Barbara) Nalette of Strongsville, OH, Timothy (Kathy) Nalette of Emmaus, PA, Craig (Adrienne) Nalette of Fellsmere, FL, and Matthew Nalette of Germantown, WI. His stepchildren, Kim Smith and Michael (Michele) Auriemma both from Amsterdam, NY and Danise (Richard) Hall of Winsted, CT. His grandchildren, Katie Capone, Justin Crawford, Nicholas Auriemma, Jillian O'Connell, Joshua, Christopher, David, Benjamin, Seth and Andrew Nalette, Jessica Gerken, Jennifer Wade, Danielle Rodriguez, and Briana Hall. His great grandchildren, Evelyn Rodriguez, Giana and Kaelyn Capone, Ava and Jack Auriemma, Davy and Crew O'Connell, Bryce, Jayce and Ryan Crawford, Anna, Gabby, Andrew and Emelia Gerken, Kyle, Emma and Nathan Wade and Zachary, Benjamin, Joshua, Aubrey, Shaelynn, Thomas, Donald, Ruby, and Luka Nalette.
Thank you to Dennis' hospice team, Jesse, Terry, and Junie for their caring and loving support. A special thank you also to his live-in caregiver, Audrey White, for her unending care and love.
