Jared Moore Obituary

Jared P. Moore
Jared P. Moore of Prospect, CT, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2025. Born on February 23, 1977, in New Haven, Connecticut, Jared lived in Prospect for many years, which he felt was the best place on Earth, as it was also the home of his couch and his black cherry seltzer.
Jared spent the early years of his career trying to fit into the corporate world but soon discovered that wearing a tie and sitting in an office were not his calling. So, he broke free and created his own business, Moore than Chores, where he specialized in remodeling and deck building. If there was a deck to be built, Jared was your guy.
A lifelong sports fan, Jared was a proud supporter of the New York Yankees, New York Rangers, and Washington Commanders. He was known to volunteer for a slow version of laundry folding, so he could have extra time to watch his teams. He enjoyed playing golf and played many years in his golf league with his friends and family, usually finishing the year between 9th and 12th place.
Family was everything to Jared. He was the guy who could turn any gathering, holiday, or family vacation into a comedy show, often stealing the spotlight with his quick wit and lighthearted banter. If laughter was the goal, Jared always scored a hole-in-one. Whether it was watching Survivor and hockey games with his son, Evan, or making Tik Toks with his daughter Emily, Jared was all around a family-oriented man. He was proud beyond belief of his kids' and wife's accomplishments.
Jared is survived by his loving wife Robin, his son Evan, daughter Emily, parents Robert and Nancy, in-laws Mike and Lana Cohen, brothers Jason (Kristen) and Christopher (Tina), sister-in-law Tracie Bristow (Greg), nephews Oliver, Aiden, and Jameson, nieces Lexi, Linnea, and Kelsey, his ever-loyal dog, Cooper, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
