Jason George Obituary
Jason Anthony George of Tampa, FL, passed away, surrounded by his loving family, on October 27, 2025, at the age of 58. Jason was a devoted husband who loved family, friends and his many, many rescue cats. He was known for his generosity, quick wit, humor and encyclopedic knowledge; and his passion for music, concerts, movies, traveling and sports. Born in Waterbury, CT, Jason attended the University of Miami and was an avid fan of all Hurricane teams. He was committed to his job with the Guardianship Program, and his work made an impact. Jason is survived by his wife, Suzy; father, Leo George, Jr.; mother, Carol George; sister, Kendra George; nieces, Keneisha Rasheed, Emily McDaniel (Jacob), and Katherine Hoppe; nephew, James Nemetz; great-niece, Emma McDaniel; aunts, Deborah Gelarderes and Diana Baker; in-laws, Jennfier and Randy Nemetz and Elizabeth and Jonn Hoppe; father in-law, James Preuss; cousins, LeeAnn, John and Sean Murray and Fred "J.R." Arakelian; and many family members in New England. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Leo George, Sr.; grandmother, Anna George; grandfather, Aleck Gelarderes; grandmother, Rita A. McNulty Gelarderes; and mother in-law, Katherine Preuss.
