Lorraine C. Goddard, 95, formerly of Prospect, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2025, at Glendale Health Center, after a long illness. Lorraine is now reunited in heaven with her husband, Leland Goddard, and her daughter, Peggy Goddard. Born December 2, 1929, in Rumford, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Louis Cayer and Laura (Demerse) Cayer.
Lorraine was a gentle and loving woman with a sweet smile. Her devout faith brought her enduring strength during the difficult times. Her family was her joy. During her younger years, she worked as a manager for Blue Hills Farm in Wallingford. When she and her family moved to Prospect, they joined the Prospect Congregational Church. As a member of the Evening Women's Group she enjoyed the gift of fellowship, service and friendship. She enjoyed gardening, the countryside of Maine and music. The sound of her daughter Peg's singing always brought her joy.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Prospect Memorial/ The Palmerie Family Funeral Home, 122 Waterbury Rd., Prospect. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
