Mary (Valerio) Petroccia, 95, of Watertown, was reunited with her husband in heaven on Monday, December 8, 2025, in the comfort of her home in Watertown. She was the beloved wife to the late Vincent James "Jim" Petroccia who predeceased her in 2015.
Mary was born in Waterbury on October 20, 1930, a daughter of the late Paolo and Angelina (D'Amico) Valerio. Mary was a graduate of Watertown High School, and worked for Amour & Company for over twenty-two years. Always enjoying time spent in the kitchen, Mary was an exceptional cook and baker, and enjoyed doing so for friends and family. Being a devout Catholic, Mary was not only a longtime parishioner of St. Mary Magdalen Church, but also a member of their Catholic Women's Organization, and served as eucharistic minister.
Mary leaves behind to cherish her memory her two sons, Bryan P. Petroccia and his wife Ellen of Lynn, MA, and David Petroccia and his wife Sadia Urena of Oxford.
Arrangements: A funeral will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025, 8:45 a.m. from Chase Parkway Memorial, the Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, to St. Mary Magdalen Church, Holy Disciples Parish, in Oakville for a Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Watertown. Calling hours for Mary will be held Sunday afternoon from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial.
