Patricia B Lavoie (née Hollister), 88, of Torrington, CT, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2025. Born on October 18, 1937, in Washington, CT, Patricia lived a life centered around love, family, and connection.
Patricia was the proud mother of eight children, each of whom brought her immense joy and purpose: Debra Lavoie, CT; Tony Lavoie, PA; Tina and Greg Marston, FL; Diane and Joseph Greene, CT; Pamela and Tony Powers, FL; Robin and Preston Hathaway, NC; Julie Lavoie, FL; and Tricia and Phil Dooley, FL. She built a home filled with laughter, conversation, and unwavering support-always checking in, always talking, and always ready to make someone smile. Patricia's warm personality and ability to bring people together made her the heart of her family.
Patricia's greatest pride came from the generations that followed. She was blessed with 19 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and one cherished great-great-grandchild. Being the matriarch of such a large and loving family brought her tremendous joy, and she loved nothing more than watching her family grow and thrive across generations.
She will be remembered for her humor, her gentle strength, and the joy she brought to everyone who knew her. Her love shaped generations, and her legacy lives on in the family she adored.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 13th at 115 McGuinness Street, Torrington CT from 12-4 p.m.
