"Beloved husband and brother"
William "Bill" James Walters, 73, of Plymouth, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at Gaylord Hospital in Wallingford, CT. He was the beloved husband of Carol (Parker) Walters for over 17 years.
Bill was born on October 21, 1952 in Waterbury, CT, a son of the late Hubert and Catherine (Scanlon) Walters. He was a graduate of Crosby High School Class of 1970, and went on to earning his BA in civil engineering from the University of New Haven. William worked for John Paul Garcia & Associates for over 20 years until his retirement.
Bill was an avid skier and rock climber; he also enjoyed hiking and scuba diving. He also played guitar and bass. Bill was a member of the Connecticut Climbers and Mountaineering (CCM), Connecticut Forest and Park Association and the Appalachian Mountain Club (AMC).
Besides his wife Carol, he leaves his brother, Hugh Walters of Waterbury, his beloved dogs, Kody and Milo, his sister-in-law, Cindy Seguin of MA, a brother-in-law, David Parker of NM, nieces, Aly, Brina and Nica and their families, and his special great-nephew, Luka.
Arrangements: A Celebration of Life service for Bill will be held 1:00 p.m., Sunday, January 11, 2026 at the V.F.W. Post 5157, 866 Thomaston Road, Watertown. There are no calling hours. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury has been entrusted with assisting the family with Bill's services.
