Kathleen Carroll Obituary

Loving wife and mother Kathy Carroll, 56, of Las Vegas, Nevada but formerly of Loveland, Colorado passed away January 23, 2017 in Las Vegas. She was born November 17, 1960 in Deadwood, South Dakota to Michael and Marlene Gorham. Kathy moved to Loveland with her family at age 2. She graduated from Loveland High School in 1979. She loved working as a waitress and met her husband Guy in 1989 while working at the Village Inn restaurant. They married on November 26, 1989 and recently celebrated 27 years of marriage together. They have one son Thomas R. Carroll, 31, of Loveland. She has three wonderful grandchildren, Jaxon Thomas Carroll, 13, twins Jaden James Carroll and Jayda Lynn Inez Carroll, both 7 years of age. Kathy enjoyed playing softball, bowling, fishing and the Denver Broncos. She worked as a waitress but unfortunately due to her health issues she was forced to stop working and playing sports. Kathy and Guy enjoyed taking yearly trips to Las Vegas, a cruise to the Caribbean and a trip to Hawaii. Kathy and Guy moved from Loveland to Las Vegas when he retired from the Loveland Police Department in 2008. Kathy is survived by her husband Guy of Las Vegas; son, Thomas Carroll of Loveland; grandson Jaxon Carroll of Fort Collins; grandtwins Jaden and Jayda Carroll of Fort Collins; mother Marlene Gorham of Cheyenne, Wyoming; sister. Dorothy Markwell, Las Vegas; sister Tammy Bauer of Cheyenne, Wyoming; brother Michael X. Gorham; and several nieces and nephews as well. She was preceded in death by her father Michael J. Gorham of Loveland. She gladly donated her body to science to help understand the effects of diabetes on the human body. There will be no service. It is hoped that a memorial Celebration of Life Gathering will take place in Loveland later in the year. Kathy will be sadly missed by all who knew her in life and all of the friends she discovered on Facebook, at the local dog park and in the many casinos in Las Vegas and Colorado.
