Madonna Feik

Madonna Louise ("Donna") Feik, age 87, passed into heaven on June 23, 2013. She was born at home on February 6, 1926, in St. Peters (Fleming), CO to Edward and Clara (Wessel) Feik. She was one of 7 children who lived and enjoyed farm life in a small farming community. She attended school at St. Peter's Catholic School until her senior year when she graduated from St. Anthony's High School in Sterling in 1944. She then moved to Sidney, NE and worked at the Sioux Ordinance Depot. In 1951, she moved to the Denver area and worked at Denver University. She retired from Prudential Insurance Company after 31 years of service. She and her sister, Marjorie, moved to their Loveland home in 1989. Madonna was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Loveland; St. Peter's in Fleming; and All Saints in Denver. She was also a member of the Catholic Youth Club; the Church Council at All Saints; and the CCW (Council of Catholic Women) at St. John's. She also attended various card clubs, and she enjoyed traveling with family and friends. Her family and friends will remember her amazing ability to celebrate each person's birthday or special occasion with a card or gift. Various religious organizations will remember her generous donations and prayerful support. She loved finding a sales bargain and then sharing her finds with others. Madonna will be missed by a large family and many friends who now celebrate her move to heaven. Madonna is survived by her three sisters, Bernadette Hubersberger, Rosemary Cumpsten, and Marjorie Feik, all of Loveland. She has 10 nieces and nephews; 18 great nieces and nephews; and 9 great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Bruno Feik; her sister, Stella Olick; and her infant sister Elizabeth Feik. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at 10:00 am, at St. John's Catholic Church in Loveland. Visitation will be held from 4-7:00 pm, Wednesday, June 26, 2013 with the Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 pm at Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home in Loveland. Interment will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens. Donations may be made to St. John's Catholic Church, Catholic Charities, or Pathways Hospice in care of Kibbey Fishburn Funeral Home.
