Samuel C. Shepherd

Sam Shepherd, 74, of Greeley passed away on October 14, 2011 at his home.

He was born May 11, 1937 in Corning, KS to Russell and Donna (Broadbent) Shepherd. He married Betty Prouty on November 11, 1956.

Sam was always active in sports, throughout his life which included playing softball, bowling and playing golf. He also looked forward to catching up with his buddies for a game of pool, cards and fishing trips. Sam owned his own produce company for over 25 years and then took up driving a truck of which he had a passion for. Sam loved being with his family which included everything from barbeques, holidays and family trips. He just recently enjoyed the trip of his lifetime to Israel and the Middle East with his wife Betty. Sam was a true believer in the Lord and will be greatly missed.

Sam is survived by his wife Betty; sons, Dan, Andy, Joe (Jolene); daughters, Susan (Merle) Buck, Debra Moore and Rebecca (Dan) Guzman; 13 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and his brother, Dennis.

Memorial service 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at Adamson Chapel.
