Scott Carson Blundell, 48, of Loveland, CO was born on August 16, 1968 in Lincoln, NE to George C. Blundell and Judy J. Johnson Blundell. He was the second oldest of four boys growing up in Scottsbluff, NE. He graduated Scottsbluff High School in 1987 and was always a proud Bearcat Alumni. He continued his education at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln and played trombone in the University of Nebraska marching band for two years. Scott was an avid sports fan for any and all Husker sporting events. Scott found his passion in all things related to computers and electronics. He managed the IT side of heavy equipment auctions working in Nebraska, Florida, California and Ireland. He traveled and lived the world round. Language barriers didn't exist for Scott, no matter the continent; he would immerse himself in the local culture and enjoy each new experience. His most recent joys were camping and fly fishing around the Rocky Mountains with his furry friend Nellie at his side. Scott had recently acquired his HAM radio license to have a radio with him in the mountains. He lived life to the fullest with a smile on his face and time for a conversation on any topic with anyone. Scott always was willing to pitch in and help anyone in need; snow removal for neighbors, carpooling duties and caring for the family pets. The task was of no consequence, he was willing to step up and help. He is survived by his parents, George and Judy Blundell of Loveland, CO, his three brothers; Joe Blundell of Loveland, CO, Mike Blundell (Kristin) of Loveland and Steve Blundell of Laramie, WY; Niece and nephew, Emma and Zach Blundell of Loveland, CO; Aunt Jean Brooks of Ardmore, PA, Uncle Jack Johnson (Pam) of Elkhorn, NE, Aunt Marie Holmgrain (Milt) of Warsaw, IN, Aunt Judy Dau (Orv) of Chadron, NE, Aunt Jan Blundell of Las Vegas, NV, numerous cousins and countless friends around the country. He was preceded in death by Grandparents Joe and Dorothy Blundell and Jack and Florence Johnson, Aunt Marlene Blundell, Uncle Tom Blundell, and Aunt Betty Reed. Scott was a beloved son, brother, nephew, friend and adored uncle. He always had a positive word of encouragement after a soccer game, a quick quip after a middle school band concert, a sparkle in his eye with the perfect gag gift, a new fact or bit of trivia to share, and such a joy for life. A memorial service will be held at Saint Francis Episcopal Church in Scottsbluff, NE on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 2:00 PM. Safety in the mountains was very important to Scott, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Search & Rescue Dogs of Colorado (SARDOC) in care of Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home, 1102 N.
