Steve was a kind person with a heart of gold. He treated me with kindness and respect when I so needed a home. I rented his home in Greeley it's a nice little home. He was nice to talk to and I enjoyed helping him when he worked on the house. We would listen to the tapes he brought over. God bless you rest in peace. I will miss you and your laugh. My regards to your family.

I got to know Steve when we moved to13th street next to Webster park in 2014. Every morning weather permitting he would show up to feed the fox squirrels in the park right across the street. After a short while, a wave and a good morning salutation developed into conversations that continued until I last saw him a couple of weeks ago. I knew he was struggling , but we still seemed to consistently share a good laugh as he offered peanuts to the park's residents. I very much enjoyed his salt of the earth demeanor and gentlemanly attitude. He is appreciated and missed very much. Sincerely, Jamey P. Eddy

Gayle, I wanted to let you know how much I will miss Steve playing his fiddle at the Foote Lagoon. Every City employee that I am aware who knew Steve will miss his sweet and kind presence during our walks there. He knew everybody's name and we all loved him and will miss him. He touched many, many lives. Praying for peace and comfort for you and your family during this difficult time.
