Mrs. Partridge was my 6th grade teacher at Sunset Junior High and English/Literature teacher at Munday High. I remember a small number of students were returning to Munday in her car after a UIL contest, and she was afraid that with a quarter tank of gas, we would run out in the middle of the trip, but we did arrive without a problem. I did not know she was an artist, wow! I had a blissful visit with her while she was living in an assisted living home in Abilene. THAT, I will always treasure.

Patty, although it's been 50 years since we last saw each other, I will never forget you as my childhood friend and your Mom as one of my favorite teachers. We were friends in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades until I moved away. I will never forget you driving over to my house (you were 10 years old!) to pick me up to spend the night at your house. We had to stop and pull over off the dirt road to let a crop-duster land, but then proceeded homeward. I have some great memories of our times together and you and your family were so kind, fun, and generous to this young "preachers' kid". My dad (Ronnie Skaggs) was the preacher at Gillespie Baptist Church at the time and we loved little Munday TX. As Bob Hope always said, "thanks for the memories". My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this sad time.

Donna, I never had the opportunity to be in your mother's classroom, BUT she was a great basketball coach! When I was in the 8th grade and in the middle of basketball season, we moved. Mother went to withdraw me. When she got home, she said your mother cried when she heard we were moving! I've told that so many times. I recall you, Sarah Offutt, and I were "the guards"! My, I knew she was talented, but so many accomplishments! What a wonderful heritage, Donna!
