Brenda Waggoner Obituary
Baird, TX
Brenda Ruth Waggoner Kanady, age 51, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014 at her home in Baird, Texas. Services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, April 24, 2014, in the Cottonwood Baptist Church, Cottonwood, Texas, with Rev. Dwain Clower officiating. Interment will follow in the Waggoner Family Cemetery in Cottonwood. Parker Funeral Home in Baird is in charge of arrangements. A visitation will take place on Wednesday evening from 5:30 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Brenda was born on April 28, 1962, in Baird, Texas, to Charles and Ruth Waggoner. She had lived in Baird for most of her life. She was a "top-notch" waitress, especially during the years of working with her mother at Ruth's Restaurant in Baird. She was a member of Cottonwood Baptist Church. Brenda love her family, especially her girls and her grandkids.
Survivors include her father, Charles Waggoner of Cottonwood, TX; 2 daughters, Kristi Kanady Davee of Abilene, TX, and Katherine Kanady and Joseph Hopkins of Sonora, TX; 2 brothers, Fred Waggoner of Cottonwood, TX, and Brad Waggoner and wife Cindy of Cross Plains, TX; 1 sister, Rhonda Edwards of Pagosa Springs, CO; 2 granddaughters, 3 grandsons, and numerous extended family.
A memorial fund account has been set up at the First Bank Texas in Baird. Donations may be made to Account # 011068396.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time. Brenda was a wonderful woman. Her smile and laughter could light up any room. Though we rarely saw each other I will always consider her a dear friend. I know that if I ever needed her, she would always be there for me or anyone else. God bless you Brenda!
