Abilene, TX
Cactus Jack Daniels, 24, of Abilene passed away Friday, April 7, 2017 at an Abilene hospital. Funeral services will be 2:00PM, Monday, April 10, 2017 at Potosi Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Potosi Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6:00PM to 8:00PM, Sunday, April 9, 2017 at the funeral home in Clyde.
Cactus was born February 18, 1993 in Abilene to Jerry and Vickie (Langlitz) Daniels. He was a lifelong member of Taylor County, graduating from Jim Ned High School in 2012. Cactus was a salesman for Tracker Boat Center. He married Linsey Mae Ballenger in De Leon on November 7, 2015. Cactus was a member of the Potosi Baptist Church.
Cactus is survived by his wife Linsey of Abilene; his parents, Jerry and Vickie Daniels of Potosi; grandparents, Rose Hass and husband Tommy of Abilene; mother-in-law, Jamie Ballenger of Abilene and father-in-law, Brad Ballenger of Midland; brother-in-law, Justin Ballenger of Abilene; aunt, Paula Parker and husband Marty of Dudley; uncles, Scott Langlitz of Abilene, Hank Daniels and wife Jenni of Abilene, Teddy Harris of Abilene, Scooter Harris of Merkel, Ricky Bond and wife Christy of Baird and Kyle Swinney and wife Rhonda of Abilene; cousins, Whitney Draper, Sierra Heine, Justin Langlitz, Kevin Langlitz, Memphis Harris and numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Harvey and Helen Harris and great aunt Elaine McElory.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donation be made to Wylie and Jim Ned FFA Programs.
