Carolyn Sue (Sanders) Barbian, 66, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2016, at her home in Anson. Family visitation will be 5:30 PM until 7:00 PM, Wednesday, August 3, 2016, Rosary will begin at 7:00 PM, at Adams-Graham Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 4, 2016, at Saint Michael's Catholic Church. Burial will be at Hawley Cemetery, directed by Adams-Graham Funeral Home.

Born May 1, 1950, in Abilene, Carolyn was a daughter of Bob Sanders and the late Alice (Baldwin) Sanders. She graduated from Anson High School in 1968 and married Joe Barbian November 13, 1971. Carolyn was a faithful member of Saint Michael's Catholic Church. She was a CCE teacher, a Eucharistic Minister, the Vice President of the Guadalupanas, and a cursillista. Carolyn was retired but stayed very busy volunteering at Helping Hands, Anson Public Library and the Anson Elementary School. She was known to the kids as "Grandma Sue". Carolyn also gave of herself cleaning house for Father Michael and Father Selva.

Survivors include her husband, Joe Barbian; her father, Bob Sanders; two daughters, Tina Barbian and Dianna Lynn (and husband, Scott); three sons, Jon Barbian (and wife, Teresa), Luke Barbian and Clyde Barbian (and wife, Monette); six grandchildren, Ivy Barbian, Alex Barbian, Destynie Lynn, Christopher Lynn, Anakin Lynn and Bridgette Lynn; two brothers, Larry Sanders (and wife, Rebecca) and Herbert Sanders (and wife, Teresa); two sisters, Beverly Frye (and husband, David); and Theresa Brazell (and husband, Virgil); a sister-in-law, Sandra Webb; numerous nieces and nephews including, David Payne (and wife, Becky), Amanda Wood (and husband, Erik) and Brian Payne.
