Edward Hinton Obituary
CLYDE
Edward "Ed" George Hinton, 75, of Clyde died Monday, July 30, 2012 in a Clyde care center. Funeral services will be 9:00 a.m. Thursday, August 2, 2012 at the Bible Baptist Church with Brother Larry Hooper officiating. Burial will be in the Clyde Cemetery with military honors under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Hinton was born September 3, 1936 in Joseph, Oregon to Charles and Iona (Foster) Hinton. He attended high school and college in Hermiston, Oregon. After joining the Air Force in 1955 he married Virginia Winnie King on May 19, 1958 in Caldwell, Idaho. He served in the Air Force until he retired in 1975. He retired from Haliburton after 15 years and retired from R.L. Anderson in 2011. They moved to Clyde from Abilene in 1996. He was a truck driver and a member of Bible Baptist Church.
Mr. Hinton is survived by his wife Virginia of Clyde; one son, Monty Hinton of Lubbock; three daughters, Starlette Golden of England, Starleen Cozby and Starla Hinton both of Clyde; five grandchildren, Steven Edward Earixson, Lee Cozby, Sue Ann Scott, Dalena and Damion Hall; ten great grandchildren, Tyler, Emma, Jacob, Phillip, Stephanie, Abby, Lane, Sipriano, Jolon and Sa'Kota; and many adopted grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Steven Earixson, Damion Hall, Tony Melnyk, Marty Martinez, Scott James, Scott Wright, and Carlos Gomez.
