Cleburne
Memorial services for Kellie Ruth Melson, 48, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, July 22, 2013 at Field Street Baptist Church with Dr. John Hall officiating; assisted by Dr. John Duncan, the Rev. John Glover and the Rev. Jack Ridlehoover.
A private family burial will be held prior to the memorial service.
The family will receive visitors from 5 - 7 p.m. Sunday, July 21, 2013 at Rosser Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jay Lewis, Joe Fossett, Ricky Hempel, Albert Durant, Nathan Rains, Mike Crain, Charles Garrett, and Randy Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacon fellowship of Field Street Baptist Church.
Kellie passed away Thursday, July 18, 2013 in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born in Waco, Texas on Dec. 20, 1964, the daughter of Bill and Janie Goldman.
Kellie and Jerry Melson were married on Dec. 21, 1985 in Abilene, Texas.
She had lived in Cleburne for 20 years and was a member of Field Street Baptist Church. Kellie was a two time cancer survivor. Everyone knew Kellie as a godly mother and wife.
Kellie is survived by her husband, Jerry Melson of Cleburne; parents, Bill and Janie Goldman of Abilene, Texas; daughters, Kacie Hand and husband, Justin, Haley Melson, and Allie Melson, all of Cleburne; sister, Kathie Springfield of Abilene; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to American Cancer Society- Colon Cancer Research, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.

I thought of your girls today, without realizing that tomorrow will be 10 years since you went to be with The Lord. You were such a blessing in my life, and a very dear friend all through high school. Thank you for the honor and privilege of knowing you, and experiencing your sweet spirit:)
