Possum Kingdom Lake, TX

Kenneth Eason Bowen, 82, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at his home. A celebration of his life will be Saturday, September 26th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at 2334 Sanbar Rd. Graford, TX 76449.

Kenneth was born May 8, 1933 at Truby, Jones County, TX to D.B. and Gertrude (Eason) Bowen. He retired in 1989 after thirty-seven years of service from Western Electric Company/A T & T. One of his biggest joys in life was flying airplanes and he was a private pilot for many years. He was also co-owner of Young Flying Service in Harlingen for several years. After retiring and moving to PK Lake fishing and boating became his passion.

Survivors include his wife, Paula Bowen of Fort Worth; daughters, Debbie Bowen of Abilene, Danna Dunagin and husband Randy of Merkel, Tris Martin of Aledo, Melissa Scott of Austin; sons, David Bowen of Ovilla, Ricky Scott and wife Glinda of Fort Worth; nine grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Billy Bowen and D.L. Bowen.

Memorials may be made to Possum Kingdom VFD 358 N FM 2353 Graford, TX 76449.
