Kyle McClure Obituary

Kyle McClure

Burkett, TX

Kyle Wade McClure, age 31, went home on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 with his family by his side. He battled cancer for a year and a half and won. He was at home where he wanted to be so he could hear his children laugh and play. His wife was by his side when he took his last breath. Kyle taught his little family so much in a short period of time and for that they will be forever grateful. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday 16, 2014 at the First United Methodist Church in Cross Plains with Kevin Morton officiating assisted by Ronnie B. White; burial will follow in the Burkett Cemetery in Burkett, Texas.

Kyle was born to Mike McClure, Jr. and Cheryl Merrill Daniels on August 4, 1982. Kyle married Kristin Hunter on July 7, 2012 at their home in Burkett, Texas where they created a loving home with their 3 children, Preston, Kashlyn and Cross. Kyle was a man of faith, he loved and knew his God. He loved unconditionally and he was a man that loved to show it. He was an expert pipeline welder, rancher-horseman and farmer, but his children were his pride and glory.

He is survived by his wife, Kristin Hunter McClure and his three children, Preston, Kashlyn, and Cross; parents, Mike and Michelle McClure, Jr., Rick and Cheryl Daniels, great-grandmother, Velma Lee, grandmother, Drue Evans and Robbie McClure-Pancake, grandparents, Harold and Ophelia Merrill; brothers and sisters, Michael McClure III, Ricky Daniels, Bill and Shanda Johnson, Jeremy and Brittany Torres, father and mother-in-law, Ken and Terry Hunter; Kyle will also be missed by his many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

Kyle was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Leifton Hunter, great-grandfather, Damon D. Jones and great-grandparents, Faye and Lorain Merrill.

Pallbearers: Preston McClure, Mike McClure, Jr., Rick Daniels, Sean Shipley,

Jody Harris, Kenny Horan, Jackie Strickland. Honorary Pallbearers, Michael McClure, Rickey Daniels.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cross Plains Cancer Fund, or Kyle McClure Love Fund, both at Texas Heritage Bank, P.O. Box 699, Cross Plains, TX 76443.

I am so very sorry for your family's loss. Sean told me repeatedly what a fantastic person Kyle was. Sadly, I only got to meet him one time @ Sean's wedding, but he did impress me as being a very strong, sweet person. His passing will leave a hole that can never be filled, but wonderful memories of him will make it seem not quite as deep. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
