Nancy Rogers, 77, of Tuscola, Texas, died Thursday, June 26, 2014 at an Abilene medical center.

Born in Caps, Texas in Taylor County on June 28, 1936, Nancy was the daughter of Virginia (Norcross) and Austin McClure. She was an Abilene area resident for her entire life. She attended school in Eula and graduated from Eula High School. She received her degree from McMurry University in Abilene. Nancy retired from AISD, having been a school teacher first at Franklin Junior High School and later Cooper High School. She was a member of Tuscola Methodist Church.

Her parents and two brothers, Daniel "Buck" McClure and David McClure, preceded Nancy in death.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Bill Rogers of Tuscola; son, Steven Rogers of Austin; sister, Mildred Warren of Eula, Texas; and two grandsons, Eric Rogers and Alexander Rogers.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 28, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene. No services will be scheduled.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 3402 North 1st Street, Suite 102, Abilene, TX 79603.
