Olen Crenshaw Obituary
Ranger, TX
Olen W. Crenshaw, 85, a long time resident of Ranger passed away Sunday, April 13, 2014 after a short illness.
Olen was born to Wallace and Nell Welty Crenshaw on January 7, 1929 in Erath County. He married Mary Lou Stedman of Strawn, July 12, 1948 and the couple lived in Mingus for several years before moving to Ranger in 1955. Olen worked and retired from TXDOT in Eastland for 30 years and served as a Deacon at Eastside and First Baptist Church for over 40 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers; Buford and Herbert and sister Varue. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Mary; Son, James Crenshaw and wife Joanne of Eastland; Daughter, Phyllis Thompson and husband, Tom of Eastland; Grandchildren, Kimberly Edwards and husband Eddie; Angie Irwin and husband Jeff; Jennifer Crenshaw; Sandra Sanders and Mario Hernandez; Great-Grandchildren, Ashleigh Staggs, Hannah Edwards, Makynna and Madison Irwin; Erica and Daniel Rowden and Great-Great Granddaughter; Kayleigh Staggs and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 16th at First Baptist Church in Ranger with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Ranger. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Edwards Funeral Home, Ranger. Memorials: In lieu of flowers the family request donations to American Breast Cancer Society or First Baptist Church, Ranger

I am so sorry about your loss. Olen was a good man and well liked by everyone. I just by accident found out about his passing away today after lunch. I am sorry I didn't get to come to his service. May God Blessed your family. I know he will be missed by all.
