Patsy Clark Obituary

Patsy Ann Rodgers Clark
Gorman, Texas

Patsy Ann Rodgers Clark was born to Ray and Lavelle Rodgers on March 22, 1940 in Gorman, Texas. She left this world at her Lord's calling to join him in Heaven, on May 1, 2010.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P. M. Monday, May 3, 2010 at the First Baptist Church in Gorman with Rev. Jim Holt of Comfort, Texas and Rev. Barry Schahn officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery. Services under the direction of Higginbotham Funeral Home in Gorman.
Patsy was raised in Gorman, Texas where she met and married her sweetheart of 54 years, Doyle Lynn Clark on May 11, 1956. After their marriage they lived in various places in Texas until they settled in Comfort, Texas where they resided for 40 years. Two years ago, they returned to Gorman their childhood home, to retire.
Together they cherished three children, ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Patsy was the heart of her family and loved each and everyone of them immensely. She always had time for family and friends and was the first one to offer care and concern to those in need. An avid gardener and landscaper, her yard and beautiful flowers were admired by all. Her family and friends know that they will never look at a rose again without thinking lovingly of her. In addition to gardening she enjoyed cooking , fishing, following all the grandchildren's school and sporting events and she was never too tired to shop.
The most important thing in Patsy's life was her relationship with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her greatest joy and desire was that her family follow Him and trust in His word. Her faith never faltered. Even as she battled cancer, she spoke of how blessed she was to have had 70 wonderful years on this earth. She truly gave all the glory to God and knew where she would spend eternity.
Patsy is survived by her husband, Doyle Lynn Clark of Gorman; son, Ricky Clark and wife, Linda of Salado and their children, Garrett and wife, Lisa and Travis and Ryan; daughter, Cathy and husband, Phil Webb of Ranger and children, Cara and husband, David Branch, Corby, Marissa and husband, Edwin Marmalejos and Lyndi; Rob Clark and wife, Beth of Tomball and children, Matthew and Mallorie and Macie; great grandchildren, Corben and Brynna Branch and Griffin and Olivia Clark; mother, Lavelle Rodgers Crowley of Gorman; sister, Glinda Poe and husband Bob of Fort Worth; brother, Harold Rodgers and wife, Kathy of Comfort and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Ray Rodgers and her brother, Charles Rodgers.
To honor Patsy's memory she and her family ask that donations be made to the building fund of the First Baptist Church in Gorman.
