Paula Leddy, 80, went to her heavenly home on June 3, 2018 surrounded by her family. She is now celebrating with her Lord and Savior.
Graveside services will be held at 10am on Thursday, June 7, 2018 in Elmwood Memorial Park located at 5750 Hwy 277 South, Abilene, TX 79606 with Rudy Fambrough officiating, under the direction of North's Funeral Home. She will be buried alongside her husband, James. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 in North's Memorial Chapel located at 242 Orange, Abilene, TX 79601.
Paula was born in Abilene, Texas on May 28, 1938 to Zeno and Alice Wise. She was one of seven children. She married James Wilson Leddy on June 22, 1955 in Abilene, TX. She worked as a boot maker, homemaker, mother and caregiver for her family all of her life. She enjoyed her bowling league for many years, trips to Vegas, and bingo. She took pride in her custom made boots and wore them daily. She spent her last years blessed with her sister, Linda, as her roommate and caregiver.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, Johnny Wise, one sister, Frankie Thompson and two grandchildren, Aimee Meek and Brandon Leddy.
Survivors include her three children, Debbie Meek and husband Glenn, James Zeno Leddy and wife Arlene, Brent Leddy and Carol; three brothers, Zeno Wise, Jr. and wife Mary, Eddie Wise and wife Neva, Danny Wise and wife Cindy; and one sister, Linda Couturier all of Abilene. She was blessed with many grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to West Texas Rehab, Meals on Wheels, or the charity of your choice.

I am devastated to hear of the death of Paula. She was a beautiful lady and lit up the room when she walked in. She was always the life of the party and had such an infectious laugh. Paula is loved by many, she made an impact on the lives of so many and was an inspiration to anyone who ever met her.
