R.C. "Bud" Logan, 82, of Eula, passed away Friday, April 15, 2016, at an Abilene hospital. Services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at the Bailey-Howard Funeral Home Chapel in Clyde with Rev. Louis Brewer officiating. Graveside services are scheduled for 2:30 PM, Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Fairmount Cemetery in San Angelo. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, Monday, April 18, 2016 at the funeral home.

Bud was born February 9, 1934, in San Angelo to Max Lee and Alma Dora Probst Logan. He was Salutatorian of his 1951 Eula High School graduating class and graduated in 1955 from Hardin Simmons University with a degree in Geology. Bud married Patricia "Pat" Cooper in Abilene on December 10, 1955. He was employed by the Texas Department of Transportation for 17 years and was a driver for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for eight years. In 1972, he started a pipeline construction company which his sons still operate.

Bud was a member of the Methodist Church where he was a Sunday School Superintendent and served on the official church board. In his later years, he attended church at Denton Valley Baptist Church. He was a 32nd Degree Master Mason, and a member of both the Scottish Rite and York Rite. He was a 60 year member of the Masonic Lodge, belonging to Clyde Lodge 1056 where he was Past Master and Moran Lodge 863. He was a 50 year member of the Eastern Star Chapter 591 of which he was a Past Patron.

Bud is survived by his wife, Pat, of Eula; his two sons, R.C. "Bobby" Logan, Jr. and Rusty Logan, both of Eula; his daughter, Terrye Logan Kemp and husband Jimmy of Cisco; his nephew, Tommy Hurst and wife June of Belavista, Arkansas; and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Maxine Burnside and her husband G.C. Burnside and Louise Hurst and her husband Buster Brown Hurst.
