Rick "Ricky" Don Goodgion, 63, of E. Greene Street, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2017. Visitation will be 4:00PM to 7:00PM, Monday, October 30, 2017, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, October 31, 2017, 10:00AM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home 1001 N. Canal Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico with Gary Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery 1506 Boyd Drive, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Carlsbad Honor Guard will provide military honors. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Rick "Ricky" Don Goodgion was born December 21, 1953, in Lubbock, Texas to Talbot Zelmon and Joann (Edwards) Goodgion. He loved all outdoor activities - Hunting, fishing, and water sports. Ricky loved watching his New England Patriots and betting against the Cowboys. He loved to take his Harley Davidson on cross country trips. Ricky worked hard and enjoyed it.

He is preceded in death by his parents Talbot and JoAnn Goodgion.

Ricky is survived by his wife, Carol Goodgion of Carlsbad; sons, Josh Freeman, Jamie Goodgion and wife, Maggie of Boston, MA., Matthew Enloe, and Jake Moore; daughters, Kristie Goodgion of New York City, NY., Samantha York, Kaylyn Moore of Abilene, TX; brothers, Kent Goodgion and Kathy Duplissey of Carlsbad, NM; Randall Goodgion of Miles, TX; sister, Annyce Brounch and husband, Steve of Key West, FL; grandchildren, Josie and Madelyn Goodgion, Phoebe Moore, and Madilyn Greg.
