Ruby C. Miller, 76, of Abilene, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2017. Graveside services will be at 2:00PM, Sunday, March 26, 2017 in Cedar Gap Cemetery near Tuscola. Visitation will be this evening, Saturday, March 25, 2017 from 6:00PM until 7:00PM at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory St.
Ruby was born in Baird on September 4, 1940 to Ruben and Veda Lucille Straley. She worked for many years with Gooch Packing. She enjoyed playing bingo, sewing, cooking, and spending time with her grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Richard Miller and Louis Simmons; and a grandson, Jeff Loyd. Ruby is survived by her husband, Richard Miller; daughter, Mrs. Doug (Angela) Loyd; granddaughter, Mrs. Ish (Alicia) Seabrook; great-granddaughters, Shea and Chloe Winner, and Brianna Loyd; two great-great grandchildren, Amberley and Jeremiah Winner; sister, Mrs. A.D. (Darlene) Glover; and brother, Mr. Jim Straley.
