Trinidad "Trina" Guerrero Arellano, 77, of Abilene, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 in Abilene, Texas.
Trina was born on May 15, 1940 in Stamford, Texas to Theodore and Felicitas Guerrero.
She was a long time resident of Stamford, Texas and moved to Abilene, Texas to be with her seven daughters. Most know her from her years of managing the Family Planning Center and Pizza Hut, and later working and retiring from Mesa Springs Retirement Center.
She enjoyed spending time with her family especially during birthdays and the holiday season always cooking for an army. She enjoyed dancing, reading and listening to music, and football was her favorite sport. She was active in supporting community events like Relay for Life and Sarah's Food Pantry. She will be remembered by her family and friends for her compassionate heart and devotion to helping others.
Trina is survived by her daughters, Cindy Rivera (Paul), Sandra Minnick (Jeff), Elida Arellano, Carrie Arellano, Connie Gilbreath (Jeff) and Lisa Tatum (John Austin); her sisters, Fonsa Alvarado of Abilene, Texas, Maria Gomez of Weatherford, Texas, Toni Gomez, Connie Gonzales and Bessie Rangel, all of Stamford, Texas; her brothers, Theodore Guerrero of Wichita Falls, Texas and Amador Guerrero of Abilene, Texas; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly; and nieces and nephews.
Ms. Arellano is preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Rudy Arellano; daughter, Pastor Sarah Arellano Fields; brothers Paul Guerrero, Epitacio Guerrero, and Eulogio Guerrero.
The family will welcome guests at a visitation from 12:00PM to 2:00PM Sunday, November 26, 2017 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene, Texas. Services will be private.
Those wishing to honor Trina's life are asked to make a memorial gift to Hendrick Hospice, 1651 Pine Street, Abilene, Texas 79601 or the American Cancer Society, 3402 N. 1st Street, Abilene, Texas 79603. We send a heartfelt thanks to Dr. Ralph Heaven, Dr. David Randell, Hendrick Hospice Staff and MD Anderson in Houston, Texas for taking such great care of our mother.

She was a solid source of love and connection to all her daughter's and her strength and individualized love for each one will be missed. I loved hearing stories about her on a an almost daily basis for the last 14 years. She was a genuine character and strong till the end.
