Vivian Iona Simpson, 89, of Trent, passed away on July 13, 2011, in Merkel, Texas. Funeral services will be 9:00 A.M., Saturday, July 16, at the First United Methodist Church in Trent.
Rev. Ronnie Freeman and Rev. Rex Mauldin will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Sweetwater Cemetery directed by McCoy Funeral Home.
There will be a family visitation Friday, July 15, from 6 to 8 P.M. at McCoy Funeral Home, 401 E.3rd, Sweetwater, Texas.
Vivian was born November 20, 1921 in Kauffman, TX, to Robert Arthur and Bessie Beatrice Mouser Lee. She married Dale Patterson Simpson, Sr. July 6, 1941, in Marshall, TX. She lived in the Trent area since 1964. She served with her husband in the military for 27 years. She attended Trent United Methodist Church, and was a homemaker.
She is survived by: 4 sons: Dale P. Simpson Jr. and wife Rose of Arlington, TX; Robert Simpson, Don Simpson, and Ted and his wife Melinda Simpson, all of Trent, TX; 16 Grandchildren: Missy Jones and Frances Jones of McKinney, TX; Christopher T. Simpson and wife Cindy of Monohans; Dale P. Simpson III and wife Debbie, Shawn L. Simpson and wife Robin, Matthew C. Simpson and wife Evelyn, Paul Simpson and wife Christine, all of Tucson, Arizona; Bo Simpson Jr. of Trent TX; Misty D. Hull and husband Stacey of Palmer, Alaska; Stephen Lamm of Arlington, TX; Naomi Hall and husband Aaron, and Jennifer Lamm both of Palmer, Alaska; James C. Simpson and wife Paige of Burleson, TX; Lewis Knapp and wife Shelly of San Diego, CA; Julie J. Clay of Arlington, TX; Albert L. Booker of Dalhart, TX; Michelle Coehn and husband Jody of Los Angeles, California. 32 Great Grandchildren: Kaitlyn N. Simpson; Madilyn C. Simpson; Brittaini D. Jones; Jordan F.
