William Dale "Bill Fulls was born on April 4, 1942 in Wichita Falls, TX to Virgil Clarence "Bud" Fulls and Mary Virgene Fulls. On January 21, 2011 the heart God gave him was finally not large enough to keep up with the ever growing love he had for his family and friends and he quietly passed away in the company of his family at Medical City of Dallas.
Bill grew up in Abilene, Texas and was the older brother of two loving sisters, Suzy and Kathy. His family was very active in the church community and was as close as a family could be. As a young boy he spent many hours hunting, fishing, camping, playing baseball, basketball and football with his father.
Bill graduated from Abilene High School in 1960 where he lettered in baseball. He was so proud and honored to be a part of the "War Bird" tradition and the life long friends that he had made. After high school he attended Tarleton State College on a baseball scholarship. After attending for one year, he decided his education was more important and transferred to Texas Technological College in the fall of 1961. While at Tech, Bill majored in Accounting and was a member of the Phi Delta Theta Texas Epsilon Chapter.
After college Bill joined the United States Army Reserve where he spent six months of active duty. Trained as a combat engineer, he spent the next six years on reserve status until he was honorably discharged in 1971.
On June 8, 1968 he married the love of his life, Jeanne Ann Weiss in Abilene, Texas. They spent the next 42 years together raising a wonderful family and were blessed with a son, Matt, born August 1, 1976 and a daughter, Sarah, born June 13, 1984.
After living in several places throughout Texas and Oklahoma, they settled in Dallas, TX in 1978, where Jeanne still lives today. Bill was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who wanted to provide the best for his family, and he did. His family considers him the most selfless person on the planet. His devotion to his family came before anything else, and he did his best to instill these same values in his family. His son is currently raising an 8 year old boy of his own and hopes he can pass on the wisdom, patience, courage and compassion that he was taught by such a great man. His daughter is committed to carrying on his memory by continuing to work with her horses out at the barn where she and her father spent so much time together. The youngest member of the Fulls family is Bill's grandson Kyle and he was the apple of Bill's eye. Over the past several years, the two became inseparable and were best friends. Bill's son is committed to teaching Kyle everything he learned from Bill because he knows "he learned from the best".
Bill is preceded in death by his father Bud, and survived by his wife Jeanne Ann Fulls of Dallas, a son Matt of Dallas, a daughter Sarah of Dallas, a grandson Kyle of Dallas, his mother Mary of Abilene, a sister Suzy and her husband Steve Herron of Abilene, a sister Kathy Woods of Texarkana and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Jeannie, Suzy, Kathy and Family,
My family (Mary Anne Barker-Mom, Suzie Roberts-my sister, Libby Willis-my younger sister and my wife Pamela and I) send our sincere condolences in the passing of your Bill. My Mom reminded me that the Fulls family was one of the first families we met and greeted us to Abilene in Oct 1949. My older brother Barry and your Bill played sports together at Bowie and South Jr High. Mr Fulls would cut or buzz cut our hair and he was a Deacon and Usher in the balcony at First Baptist. Bill used to mow our lawn. Mom was in the same Sunday School with Mary (about 61 years) until just recently when she moved to Dallas to live with mh sister Suzie. We all had the greatest admiration for Bill and your family and amazingly Barry and Bill keep connecting over the years. Bill and Jeannie lived close to Barry and Nancy. And of course Jeannie was in my class at school. I remember speaking at my brother Barry's funeral and looking out into the audience and seeing five members the Bowie Elementary School basketball team, Bill among the most notable. What a special guy he was and is to us. I remember having a great time talking to Bill at Andrew's wedding reception. We talked about family, Abilene and of course the "Warbirds" of the 50's. We know how hard it is to lose an older brother, but he will always remain in our hearts and minds and we will cherish his friends and the memories that will always be a part of our lives. Our thoughts and prayers are with you in this difficult time. We thank God for Bill and your family and all the memories we share.

Jeanne and Family: Wanda and I were so sorry to hear of Bill's death. I enjoyed working with him during my tenure at Nations Bank and Bank of America and also as an investment consultant. I always considered him a true friend who I could confide in and never worried about recommending him to friend. His death is a great loss. Jeanne, Sarah, Matt, and Kyle.
I am so sorry for the loss of your husband, father, friend, coach, and cheerleader.
My fondest memory of Bill was when Sarah first started riding (at the tender age of 6). He was so eager to see her progress into the lope and he would always be there to watch and urge her on. She finally got there and never looked back! It gives my heart joy to know that Bill got to spend so much time with Sarah and her horses and to see Sarah riding and winning!
